The Rhythm Heaven series has always had a slew of unlockable bonuses in its games, and Rhythm Heaven Groove is no different!

Players can unlock a wide assortment of extra bonuses, ranging from reading material, secret inputs, extra modes, additional games, and more, and we’ll cover it all in this guide on Rhythm Heaven Groove’s Unlockables!

Solo Campaign Unlockables

The solo campaign is filled with unlockables, from individual rhythm games, to different modes and bonuses. While most unlockables require accumulating Medals from first time Amazing ratings, some modes and extras are unlocked simply by progressing in the game!

Each group of unlockables is sorted into its own sections below.

The Café

The Café is unlocked after clearing Remix 1 in the Solo Campaign.

While not as feature-packed as in Megamix, the Café allows for a random conversation with the Barista once after every game, and has the following unlockables:

Visible BaristaComplete Remix 6.

Moon and Star Trophy – Achieve a Rainbow Perfect for all Frontside games by completing Night Mode with a Perfect for each game. Then return to the Café.

Crown Trophy – Complete the Random Cave Quest in Beatspell, and return to the Café.

Live Shows – Currently unknown. It is believed to occur after either clearing Remix 14 or Remix 20, with a reported 10% chance of occuring after completing rhythm games. We have not been able to confirm a unlock method yet.

The Lounge – Complete Remix 8 and enter the Flipside.

Visible Manager – Complete Remix 14.

Moon and Stars Trophy – Achieve a Rainbow Perfect for all Flipside games by completing Night Mode with a Perfect for each game. Then return to the Lounge.

Drum Trophy – Complete all Drum Lessons with any score, then return to the Lounge.


Rhythm Toy Box Unlockables

The Rhythm Toy Box is unlocked after completing Remix 1 in the Solo Campaign, and its first entry is unlocked without any medals needed.

The following items are available in the Rhythm Toy Box:

Who’s Got Rhythm? – Unlocked from start; no medals required.

Soundboard – Collect 2 Medals.

Bouncy Puffer Fish – Collect 5 Medals.

Soundboard 2 – Collect 8 Medals.

Swing – Collect 11 Medals.

Soundboard 3 – Collect 14 Medals.

Owls – Collect 17 Medals.


Beatspell Unlockables

The menu screen for Beatspell is styled as a book with sparkles, eyes, and a diamond shaped glyph. Bosses are greyed out until the chapter is cleared. The text reads: "Chapter 1: Awakening"

Beatspell is a seperate rhythm RPG mode, unlocked after completing Remix 1 in the Solo Campaign.

The first chapter is unlocked by default, while additional chapters require both medals and completion of prior chapters to unlock.

Beatspell has the following unlockables.

Chapter 1 – Unlocked from start; no medals required.

Chapter 2 – Collect 3 Medals and clear Chapter 1.

Chapter 3 – Collect 6 Medals and clear Chapter 2.

Chapter 4 – Collect 9 Medals and clear Chapter 3.

Chapter 5Collect 12 Medals and clear Chapter 4.

Chapter 6Collect 15 Medals and clear Chapter 5.

Chapter 7Collect 18 Medals and clear Chapter 6.

Chapter 8Collect 21 Medals and clear Chapter 7.

Random Cave QuestComplete Chapter 8.

Playable Narra – Complete the Random Cave Quest with a 5-Star rank, and hold down L, R, ZL, and ZR simultaneously when replaying the Random Cave Quest. Note: the button combination will not work if the Random Cave Quest is not cleared with a 5-Star rank.

Stamped Menu – Complete the Random Cave Quest as Narra.


Drum Lessons

Drum Lessons is an unlockable game mode accessed from the Flipside of the solo campaign.

The first lesson and Free Jam are unlocked without any medals needed, though additional lessons require medals to unlock.

The following unlockables are available for this game mode:

Snare Drum – Unlocked from start; no medals required.

Kick Drum – Collect 25 Medals

Cymbals – Collect 30 Medals.

Floor Tom – Collect 35 Medals.

High Tom – Collect 40 Medals.

Hi-hat – Collect 45 Medals.

Double Bass Pedal – Collect 50 Medals.

Bossa Nova Rhythm – Collect 55 Medals.

Technical Skills (Pt. 1) – Collect 60 Medals.

Technical Skills (Pt. 2) – Collect 65 Medals.

Adv. Double Bass Pedal (Pt. 1) – Collect 70 Medals.

Adv. Double Bass Pedal (Pt. 2) – Collect 75 Medals.

Otherworldly Skill – Collect 80 Medals.

Free Jam – Unlocked from start; no medals required.


Score Attack

Score Attack games are located in the Flipside of the Solo campaign, and additional games are unlocked with medals.

The following games are unlockable in the Score Attack mode:

Can You Clap It? – Unlocked from start, no medals required.

Sensei Sparring – Collect 10 Medals.

Can You Clap It? 2 – Collect 16 Medals.

Skateboarding – Collect 22 Medals.

Can You Clap It? 3 – Collect 32 Medals.

Brolly Good Encore – Collect 42 Medals.

Skateboarding 2 – Collect 52 Medals.

Firing Frenzy – Collect 62 Medals.


Solo Game Unlockables

These are unlockables and extras that pertain to the Solo campaign overall, and can be unlocked through normal gameplay.

The Solo campaign unlockables are:

Deep Sea (Credits) – Complete Remix 6.

Filter for Remix 8 – Complete Remix 8. On subsequent replays, hold A as the game starts to apply a cosmetic filter.

Meet the Cast – Complete Remix 14.

Flipside – Complete Remix 8 and select the icon at the top left of the menu to enter the Flipside.

Night Mode – Complete a Perfect Streak for a Perfected game. For more details on Night Mode, check out our guide on What Night Mode is and How to Unlock It.

Eighth Notes – Achieve Perfects in all rhythm games. Note: Eighth Notes will appear on individual rhythm games played with beat-perfect accuracy.


Multiplayer Unlockables

During the “Play with friends” campaign, players can unlock different multiplayer games by progressing through normal gameplay, and can unlock further bonuses when collecting Rings, earned by getting a superb rating on the multiplayer games.

Group Toy Box Unlockables

Knock-Knock Quartet – Unlocked from start; no Rings required.

Mine Cart – Collect 1 Ring.

Building Blocks – Collect 3 Rings.

Rock Smashing – Collect 5 Rings.

Li’l Snack – Collect 10 Rings.

Rocket Sibs – Collect 15 Rings.

Cast Quiz (Bonus) – Collect all 30 Rings.


Secret Input for Archer Angels 3

Here’s a prank to challenge your more rhythmically inclined friends (or self) when playing Angel Archers 3!

Before the countdown begins for a new round, hold down A+B+Y simultaneously to give the leading player’s field orange blocks, skulls, and two sets of gate blocks.

Entries in the Rhythm Reference are unlocked mostly from achieving Perfects on rhythm games, while some entries are unlocked through normal gameplay.
